Jack Thompson

Jack Thompson is a videographer from Torbay. With the NextGen Fund, he has been working with upcoming artists in his local area to create a series of music videos, about the experience of growing up and making music in a seaside town. His videos promote a positive message that if you work hard you can make it in music, no matter where you are from.

Jayahadadream

JayaHadADream is a Jamaican-Irish rapper based in Cambridge. In 2024, she won Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Competition, and performed on the festival's Main Stage that year. She has also performed at Leeds Festival, The Great Escape and the Southbank Centre.

Kindelan

Kindelan is a songwriter, guitarist and producer who writes and performs jazz-infused alternative pop. She has received support from BBC Introducing, was nominated for 'Best Live Performance' at the 2023 Youth Music Awards, and opened the York date of the 2024 Independent Venue Week tour.

Leo Miyagee

Leo Miyagee is a rapper based in Belfast. They have performed at events including Guinness’ ‘Live and Rising’, BBC Introducing's ‘Across the Line’, and Output Belfast. They were also nominated for Ticketmaster’s Rising Irish Artist of the Year 2024.

The fourth annual Youth Music Awards, in association with Hal Leonard Europe, took place on Wednesday 18 Oct 2023 at Troxy, London.

Nottingham-born singer-songwriter and producer Lia White balances electro-soul and acoustic melodies in her music. She has collaborated with brands like Akai and Novation, and has recently worked on her projects in Limoux, Berlin and Norway.

Lori Asha

Lori Asha is a producer, singer and instrumentalist from Brighton. She has performed alongside Etta Bond and Jaz Karis, and received support from BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 1Xtra. The NextGen Fund will support her to release her latest EP, 'Sugar Free', in 2025.

Mairi Sutherland

Mairi Sutherland is a contemporary folk singer and visual artist from Scotland. The NextGen Fund is supporting her to release her latest EP, 'Paint-slinger', where she will combine rich sounds and visual elements, such as hand-drawn animations, to create an immersive experience for listeners.

ManLikeVision

ManLikeVision is a rapper from Newport. His debut album 'Boy From the South' was nominated for a Welsh Music Prize. He is a frequent live performer, and has performed at Immersed!/BBC Radio 6 Music Fringe, and supported artists like D Double E, Young T and Bugsey and Lady Leshurr.

Marcus Frame

Marcus Frame is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer based in Glasgow. He is a commissioned producer for anam creative, and has composed projects in collaboration with fellow NextGen Funded artist Naafi. He also runs a monthly live groove jam at Hillhead Bookclub.

Offered grants of £5,000 to £30,000 for businesses, collectives, and not-for-profits working in the music industries. Supporting them to create sustainable, meaningful career opportunities for young people aged 18-25.
