RESPONDING TO A CRISIS IN GRASSROOTS MUSIC

Your support comes at a crucial time for Youth Music, as we respond to a financial crisis facing the grassroots music sector.

Grassroots music projects play a significant role in equalising access for young people to make and monetise music. For the industry, it’s created a more diverse pipeline of talent, the last two Mercury Prize winners English Teacher and Ezra Collective were supported by grassroots organisations under threat. And for young people, it means that their background and circumstances don’t have to be a barrier to enjoying the benefits of music.

Demand for our funds is at an all-time high. Your donation helps us to directly invest in more young people and create a more sustainable grassroots music sector.

JOIN OUR CAMPAIGN TO RESCUE THE ROOTS

Over two thirds of the community music projects and youth spaces which Youth Music supports are focused on short-term survival, with 25% at risk of closure. Demand for our funds is at an all-time high.

Without immediate action, we risk losing the next generation of emerging creatives who rely on these vital services and safe spaces. We need to take a stand now, and Rescue the Roots.
